Doing things for others without them having to ask.
I feel most loved when I come home and best friend/parent/etc. has already taken care of something for me that needed to be done.
We love by doing.

You know how the seasons are all associated with some sort of life cycle (winter=death, spring=birth, etc.).  I know summer is usually associated with life, vitality, etc but I really feel like I'm finally coming into myself, or atleast starting to this season.
Throughout the year, I went through what I called a naked process, transitioning from chemically straightened hair to my natural born kinky/coily hair.  Naked because I felt exposed, uncomfortable, unsure, vulnerable, and even ugly.  It was difficult, but is symbolic of a lot of the other changes I was/am undergoing.
I've learned so much about myself, and about others around me.  Self-awarness I believe is key to conquring yourself (lol if that makes sense).
I'm taking steps to improve myself, and so glad that I've started. The journey continues.
This is my summer.
